Exam Application Checker
Exam & CareerOne-stop check: Am I eligible? How much is the fee? Is the deadline still open?
What this checker answers
Government exam applications fail at one of seven decision points — and most candidates don't know which one blocked them until they're already mid-form. This checker runs all seven checks at once and tells you whether you can apply, cannot apply yet, cannot apply at all, or could have applied but the window has closed.
The result is one of four precise states: eligible-open (apply now), eligible-closed (wait for next cycle), ineligible-open(window is open but you don't qualify — check why), or ineligible-closed (both fail).

Frequently Asked Questions
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Checking age against today's date instead of the cutoff date. The notification specifies an age cutoff date — your age must be within limits on that date, not on the day you apply or the day of the exam. Candidates who turn 28 between the cutoff date and the application deadline are still overage.
- Not applying category-based age relaxation. The headline age limit in most exam summaries shows the base (GEN) limit. OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates have higher effective limits after relaxation — enter your category to see the correct ceiling.
- Assuming qualification 'appearing' status is always accepted. Many exams require you to hold the qualification on the cutoff date — a final-year student who hasn't received their degree yet may not qualify. Always verify the notification's exact wording.
- Ignoring the deadline time — not just the date. Form portals typically close at 23:59 or 18:00 on the closing date, not at midnight the following day. Leaving submission to the last hour risks a server outage costing you the window.
- Confusing exam category with relaxation category. The exam category (GEN, OBC, EWS, SC, ST) determines your fee and attempt count. Relaxation categories (OBC, SC, ST, PwD, ExServiceman, Female) determine your age ceiling. Some candidates select only one and miss the other.
