It depends on the exam. For UPSC CSE, the Interview (Personality Test) carries 275 out of 2025 total marks (~13.6%). For SSC and IBPS exams, interview weights vary — some exams have recently removed interviews. A high interview score can meaningfully move your overall rank, especially in a competitive field.

Should I normalize scores before entering them?

Enter your raw scores and the weights as given in the notification — the calculator normalises internally. If an exam reports scores as out of different totals per stage (e.g. Mains 750 + Interview 275), enter those as the scores and the corresponding published weights, not a pre-converted percentage.
