What is a GPA/CGPA Calculator?
A GPA/CGPA calculator turns your subject-wise grades into one overall number, weighted by each subject's credits — so a 4-credit course affects your average more than a 1-credit one.
You can add as many subjects as you need and switch between two scales: the 10-point CGPA scale common at Indian institutions, or the 4.0 GPA scale common at US institutions.
Why use a GPA/CGPA calculator?
Averaging grades by hand is easy to get wrong once credits differ between subjects — a straight average of your letter grades over- or under-weights subjects depending on how many credits they carry. This calculator does the credit-weighting for you and updates live as you add or edit subjects.
How GPA/CGPA is calculated
Each subject's grade points are multiplied by its credits, added together, then divided by the total credits.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Switch scales if your institution differs. A grade like “B1” only exists on the 10-point scale — switching scales clears grades that no longer apply, so you never get a silently wrong average.
- A subject needs both a grade and credits to count. Leaving either blank means that row is skipped entirely, not treated as a zero.
- GPA/CGPA isn't the same as a percentage. If your institution reports marks as a percentage, use the Percentage ↔ CGPA Converter instead of assuming a 1:1 relationship.
